Ghostlight
Join us as we float from room to room in the historic Byers-Evans House, with a reader’s theatre presentation of spine-tingling theatrical ghost stories based on real-life events.
Excerpted from a full-length script by Colorado playwright Michael R. Duran, each year's production is a different mixture of returning favorite thrillers from previous years, with different readers.
This year, our actors include Lauren Bahlman, Dell Domnik, Missy Moore, Laura Norman, and Guy Williams. Subject matter is adult in nature and not recommended for those under 14; running time is 90 minutes.

Returning Home: A Denver Duo
Colorado Homegrown Tales presents a theatrical reading of two short stories from the Rocky Mountain News "Dozen on Denver" series published last fall in commemoration of Denver's 150th year. These stories share a special connection with the Byers-Evans House because William Byers, the house's original owner, launched the Rocky Mountain News in 1859.
Margaret Coel's story is set in the founding decade of Denver's history, and Linda Berry's story (a finalist in the competition) features the Mizpah Arch and a Denver in the future. These stories by Colorado authors will be read aloud by two local actors, Guy Williams and Debbie Knapp. Come explore our local past and future with this performance in the library of the historic Byers-Evans House.
Just My 'Magination
When there's a writer in the driver's seat...oh, the places we'll go! Whether it's a road trip, an airplane ride, or just hanging out at the pool, you never know what might happen when you're tripping the light fantastic. The actors of Colorado Homegrown Tales will read short stories by local authors Jane Greensmith, Erika Krouse, and James Van Pelt.
Thicker Than Water
The power of words on a page can be every bit as strong as the love that links members of a family. Take a journey with us across an ocean, back in time, or even past that final frontier. Local actors Mary Ann Amari, Debbie Knapp, and Guy Williams will perform short stories by Colorado authors
Kay Bergstrom, P D Cacek, and Wayne Faust.
